Clothes Design
We are physical body, emotion and mind. Due to cultural distortion we have split the body from the rest, considering it as something set apart. Emotional expression is often subjected to preconceived stereotypes. And usually the mind, guided by the current fad, chooses designs which do not respect body shapes, or colours detached from emotions.
Conceptually, the skin is the boundary between the internal and external world. The function of clothing is to safeguard that limit, to contain our body, and to be the channel for that vital communication with others and the environment.
The pleasure of feeling one’s own body and the expressive freedom guide these designs, that are based on respecting differences (physical, emotional, of roles and between cultures- with the conviction that integration creates greater human possibilities.
